DOUGLAS — South Georgia authorities are searching for a convicted sex offender with ties to Lowndes who has moved from her Coffee County home without warning, according to a statement from the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Chrystal Lynn Garren, 37, for failing to maintain the requirements of her sex offender registration in Coffee, according to the statement.
The sheriff’s office has been conducting regular compliance checks of registered sex offenders in the county and determined recently that Garren had moved from her registered address without providing notification, the sheriff’s office said.
Garren was convicted in 2003 on a charge of enticing a child for indecent purposes and has an outstanding warrant for violating the terms of her probation, according to the statement. Garren is reported to have ties to Coffee and Lowndes counties,.
